This was a transformation of a fairly dated semi-detached property in the coastal village of Bamburgh into a modern, cosy home which is now a popular holiday let. Mr and Mrs Crosby from Hexham bought the rundown semi with a vision to make it into a rental property for the growing number of visitors to the area and entrusted JD Joinery and Building Services to carry out the renovation project.
This was a complete refurbishment from top to bottom with barely anything in the house left untouched by the team. A new heating system was installed, the home was fully re-wired and extensions added to the side and rear to create a more habitable property which made full use of the space available. The whole of the back of the house was removed and reinstated to include more contemporary bi-fold doors into the outside area. The existing loft conversion was altered to bring it up to current building regulation standards as well as improving the space by extending out over the side of the property. All windows were replaced as well as external and internal doors and staircases. The addition of a more contemporary kitchen and fitted bathrooms give the property a very modern and luxury finish. With the external landscaping and rendered exterior, it’s really no wonder that this is one of the most popular holiday lets in Bamburgh.
A beautiful property and a complete transformation bringing an older home back into use with a contemporary refit which suits the rural, coastal surroundings of Bamburgh.
